Try New Chairlift And Stash In Avoriaz
'The Stash' is a new concept in snow parks developed first by Jake Burton at the California resort of Northstar. The concept is to use natural materials, primarily wood, to build terrain features and avoid using heavy machinery. Burton feels the Stash is a return to the roots of boarding when the first boarders, himself included, sought out natural terrain hits before terrain parks were invented.
Avoriaz also has a new six-seater chairlifts. The Grande Combe chairlift climbs 700 vertical metres over its 2km length and cost 7 million Euros to build.
