[R497R, Whiteface] and [R155R, Gore] are in pre-season mode as Labor Day recedes and winter looms in the Adirondacks of New York State.

They anticipate opening Friday, Nov. 26, the day after Thanksgiving, spokesman Jon Lundin told OnTheSnow.com.

"We still have super deals on season passes available," he said.

A full adult season pass for both mountains is $825 through Nov. 18. The price increases then to $999.

An adult non-holiday pass for both mountains is $659 until Nov. 18, then $799.

A young adult and college pass (ages 13-22) for both mountains is $375, then $475. Junior passes (ages 7 to 12) are $299, then $399.

Seniors can buy a non-holiday pass for Whiteface for $409, and for both mountains for $549, The full senior pass for both mountains is $699. The 70+ season pass for both is $210.

The resorts offer Super Sundays, Coca-Cola Why Not Wednesdays, and the Vertical Club Card also offers savings on lift tickets through the season.
