24 Hour Ski Race in Villars
I was in a team racing in 2005 and can highly recommend the experience. I enjoyed every minute except the 100m up an icy-hill in ski boots carrying skis at the start. The party atmosphere and camaraderie of competitors was wonderful and I especially enjoyed riding the quad chair up in to the starry sky at 3 a.m., a magical experience.
The 24 Hour Race consists of two easy race courses (one during the day and one at night) and is open to everyone. It is a relay event and the aim is for team members to cover a maximum number of kilometres in order to raise money for charity. For more information, visit www.gp24h.com/english
