[R802R, Mt. Norquay] built a new tubing park for this winter, adding one more family activity for Banff visitors. The new tubing hill, which offers special family pricing packages, is the only one at Banff.

Norquay's new tubing center is built around three large tubing chutes with a rope tow hauling riders back up the hill to the top. Children must be 42 inches tall and at least 4 years old to tube in the park.

The tubing hill is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. The hill runs two night tubing sessions 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. The resort plans to add one extra holiday tubing hill session 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 15, for Family Day.

Tubing for two hours costs $20 CAD for adults, $17 CAD for youths ages 13-17, and $15 CAD for children ages 4-12. A full session of tubing costs $24 CAD for adults, $20 CAD for youths, and $17 CAD for children.

Norquay offers special family rates, too. A two-hour family tubing pass, which covers two adults and two children from the same family, costs $58 CAD. Full day family passes cost $74 CAD.

Norquay's new Family Pack combines lift tickets for skiing and snowboarding, tubing, and hot chocolate. The pack, which costs $129 CAD, combines three hours of skiing, two hours of tubing, and a round of hot chocolate for the family. The rate covers two adults and two children, but you can add on an extra child for $20 CAD.
