Colorado has commuter airlines and regional airports throughout the state, making it easier for winter visitors to get to their favorite resort. Some offer even more. The [R456R, Telluride]/Montrose Regional Airport has direct flights from Chicago and Los Angeles with seven other non-stop destinations.

Direct flights from Los Angeles to Grand Junction make it easier to get to [R329R, Powderhorn Resort].

[R425R, Steamboat] has a new Web site to help travelers chart the most affordable and efficient flights to Ski Town U.S.A. from major cities across the United States. The Steamboat/Hayden airport has recently expanded, and there are non-stop direct flights from nine U.S. cities. Steamboat also offers the Kids Fly Free program which gives kids 12 and under a free airline ticket when families book a two-night stay through Steamboat Central Reservations.

[R120R, Crested Butte] has the Friends & Family Fly Free program. Buy two airline tickets and the third is free. A four-night minimum stay is required. Alpine Express takes you from the airport to the mountain. [R240R, Monarch Mountain] is also accessible from the Gunnison/Crested Butte Airport. Monarch is the closest resort to Colorado Springs, so many visitors fly into that airport.

The closest airport to [R330R, Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort] and [R1435R, Silverton Mountain] is the Durango/LaPlata Airport. The City of Durango helps provide shuttle service to the slopes of Purgatory.
