Australian resorts open early
Mt Buller and Perisher Blue are front of the lift queue this winter opening a full day ahead of schedule.
The recent twenty five to thirty centimetres of snow experienced in most resorts is being topped up with abundant snow making, ensuring skiers and boarders will get some turns in on Friday, June 8th.
Victoria's Mt Buller Bluebell 1 and 2 will run Friday, June 8th for free skiing and boarding on Bourke Street and Baldy. Also on Friday, June 8th, in New South Wales, Perisher Blue's Mitchell T Bar will get first passengers of the season from 11am with discounted lift tickets AU$22 for adults AU$11 for children.
The rest of NSW and Victorian resorts will open as scheduled on Saturday, June 9th and Thredbo Resort celebrating it's fiftieth birthday this winter.
With more snow forecast and temperatures of minus ten already recorded the Australian Ski Industry is confident of a good season.
