[R172R, Hidden Valley], 30 miles southwest of St. Louis off I-44, is offering an affordable learn-to-ski program Tuesday, Feb. 2. If you live near the Gateway City and have thought about giving snow sports a try, now is the time. The Learn To Ski Day costs $35, which includes a lift ticket, rental equipment, and beginner lesson.
The Valley is hosting a Breast Cancer Fashion Show at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, and if you wear pink you receive $5 off your lift ticket that day. Come on guys, it's for a good cause, and remember the savings.
Public Recognition Days take place Feb. 9-10. All that police and firefighters have to do is flash their badge at the ticket office on those days and receive $5 off a lift ticket or $10 off a lift and rental package.
Every Wednesday is College Appreciation Day. Receive half-off your lift ticket and rental package with a college ID. Every day is Military Appreciation Day. Active duty military personnel with valid ID pay $5 for a lift ticket and the same for a rental package. Dependents receive half-off lift and rental packages anytime.
The Valley offers a nice choice for Missouri and Illinois skiers and riders located near the Gateway City. It has a 310-foot vertical drop and offers 13 trails and two terrain parks that are serviced by a quad chairlift, two triples, three surface tows, and a carpet lift for beginners.
