[R191R, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort] has plenty of upscale hotels for luxury ski vacations. But can you still ski or ride there on a budget? You bet. You can get inexpensive lodging in Teton Village or in the town of Jackson.
In Teton Village, you can stay at the Village Center Inn and ski free. Ski and stay packages based on quad occupancy start at $79 per person per night. A three-day stay is required.
The Village Center Inn offers ski-in/ski-out lodging. It sits adjacent to the aerial tram, so you can be the first in line in the morning. Get more information here or book by calling Jackson Hole Resort Lodging at 800-443-8613.
The Hostel in Teton Village is another place to go for inexpensive lodging. You can get a private room for two people for $90 per night. After March 17, rates drop lower during the remainder of the spring ski season. Bunk rooms cost even less.
Rooms in the hostel were renovated last year, and the hostel offers a waxing facility and ski storage. You can also order three-day or more lift tickets through the Hostel with rates running about seven percent below the ticket window price. Find more information or make online reservations here.
Inexpensive hotels are also available in the town of Jackson. You can find budget chains, such as Super 8, and independent hotels that offer accommodations for travellers on a budget. Many of the budget hotels are on shuttle bus routes, so you can hop to the ski area without driving, and access to town night life is within walking distance or a short bus ride.
