[R48R, Big Sky Resort] has just opened its expanded spa in Huntley Lodge. Off-season renovations enlarged the Solace Spa and Salon to offer guests a hefty dose of pampering on ski vacations.
Renovations this fall expanded the spa to 3,000 square feet. The new design by the Boyne Design Group is intended to reflect the five elements of earth, wind, water, fire, and sky. The new space includes seven treatment rooms, locker rooms for men and women, and a relaxation room. The expansion also added space for salon services.
New salon services at the Solace include hair care, trims, cuts, and styling by professionals. Hand, foot, and nail treatments are available at four new stations — two for manicures and two for pedicures.
Two of the new rooms at the spa are designed for specialty treatments. One room can accommodate couples for treatments, while another is set up for wet wraps, such as skin toning, aromatherapy oil, mud, salt glow, and rose wraps.
The spa offers a full line of body treatments, massages, and wraps. A few popular treatments can be purchased in packages. The Face and Body Joy fills 100 minutes with a facial and aromatherapy massage for $184. The Lone Peak Duo or Trio gives a 10-15-percent discount to any combination of a facial, wrap, and body treatment in one session for one person.
The spa also includes expanded lines of retail products. Skincare, spa wear, cosmetics, hair care products, soaps, massage crèmes, exfoliants, and aromatherapy oils are available.
