[R525R, Bad Gastein]'s lift company Gasteiner Bergbahnen AG has invested €45 million in to improving the ski area over the past three years.

Some of the latest projects, which have been completed in time for this winter season, include the new Stubnerkogel lift, expanded snowmaking capability, new ski runs, improvements in children's facilities, and a new suspension bridge.

The new cabin lift up to the Stubnerkogel is the main item in this year's investment program, one which totals around €16.5 million. At a length of 2.6 kilometres, the lift is able to carry as many as 2800 people per hour from Bad Gastein to the main ski area.

The new blue Möser run, from the mid station of the Senderbahn to the Angertal Ski Center, has now been completed. Both the Möser and Sender runs have also been outfitted with additional snowmaking equipment.

There have also been improvements to the Snowpark Gastein this season, with a 15-metre double kinked box, a 12-metre flat rail, a nine-metre curved box, two butter boxes, and a picnic table.

The new, 140-metre-long suspension bridge from the Stubnerkogel lift to the Sender connects the existing hiking path with the terrace of the summit restaurant, allowing walkers to experience the difference in elevation.

Another investment in Bad Gastein is improvements to the magic carpets next to the children's ski school.
