Pre-Spring Fling Is At Mt. Ashland
There's nothing like a little frivolity on the mountain, and Mt. Ashland takes it to the hilt with its annual Skiesta, "a celebration of the waning of winter and the emergence of spring." The highlight of the March 1 event is the Dummy Downhill, which includes a most original dummy contest as well as race; the grand winner will receive a 2008-09 season pass. Other Skiesta diversions include a morning Breakfast Special, reduced lift ticket prices, live music in the evening, and other family-style activities.
