Just opened the backside yesterday at 1:30. Was nice to see fresh snow but everyone rushed in and was crowded . Doing their best but there are ice patches.

The backside opened today. Again, it is only 1 run. Too many people of varying skill on the same run. Ski school classes like road blocks, while speed demons have nowhere else to go. Recipe for collisions. Ski Patrol is working constantly.

Truth: only 2 ski runs and 2 lifts are open. It is the Green run Heading Home. At the very end, you can peal off onto a Blue, Exhibition. Everything else is ski school stuff at the base. Each day they say the back side will open soon. Ha. Maybe by spring break... The snow is packed groomed. Night skiing is less crowded.

Doing their best to keep everyone happy and skiing by constantly blowing snow since Mother Nature has not blessed them with snow thus far. Very friendly workers.

No one is here and the snow is the great! There is some ice as to be expected skiing in New Mexico in March. The children's ski school is the best!
