    New snow seems to be an on-going trend at Wisp Resort in Maryland and one that the mountain is not afraid to embrace unabashedly. Judging by their daily snow reports it looks as if Old Man Winter has parked himself firmly above the Garrett County resort.

  • Wisp Close to 100 Percent

    After continuous snowfall, Wisp Resort is almost at 100 percent with 30 out of 32 trails open for skiing and riding. The openings include all of the mountain's blue and black terrain.

  • Wisp Gears up for Freestyle Festival

    The Oakley Freestyle Festival is coming to Wisp Jan. 27 and 28 with a ton of events for skiers and riders. Novices to the terrain park can participate in clinics instructed by pros teaching the art of the rail slide and other freestyle tricks.

    After losing a few trails over the weekend due to rain, Wisp Resort is again enjoying some of the best snowfall in the Mid-Atlantic region. The mountain could see up to four inches by the end of the day.

    Gearing up for their WinterBlast Weekend Jan. 13 through 15, Wisp has been blasting their snow guns, making 13 inches of snow over the past 48 hours. Coupled with 16 inches of natural snow this season, the event looks to move ahead despite cancellations at other resorts.
