Varied terrain
Not always the best snow.

Full review

This is by far my favorite resort in idaho. The terrain is amazing, varied so beginners can have long, uninterrupted runs without getting too difficult. There is always an easy way down, and also cold springs canyon and warm springs offers amazing terrain for experts to tear up. The resort is in a dry area that doesn't always get a lot of snow, so it definitely is not Utah powder skiing, and sometimes runs can get torn up pretty bad. The park on Dollar is great. They have good rollers for beginners, and large jumps and rail features for advanced skiers. The resort is not too crowded, so there are not long lines where it takes 5 minutes just to get on the lift. In dry years the resort is very proactive with snowmaking and can open nearly half their mountain from just snowmaking. The resort is run by people who obviously care about making the ski experience as enjoyable as possible. One of the best resorts I've been to.
