Obermeyer Bombshell Jacket review. OnTheSnow reviewed this insulated jacket as part of its 2016/2017 Jacket Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Whether you fancy a little bit of lux styling with the removable faux fur hood trim or prefer to go without, this is a great-looking, warm jacket that sports Obermeyer’s rebranded logo. We’re especially fond of the melange look of the fabric on the Charcoal colorway and all the comfort trimmings, from the fleece-lined collar and chin protector to the tricot-lined handwarmer pockets.

Room for Improvement: While Obermeyer has got the fit, mobility and comfort dialed, the Bombshell appears to be more style than performance oriented and totally at-home on the après scene.

Fit: The Bombshell’s “Active” or “body-skimming fit engineered for motion and enhanced by reduced bulk” fits true to size and hits just below the hips on the length front.

Manufacturer Description:Functional ski heritage hidden behind a beautiful silhouette. The Bombshell is the ultimate in fit perfection. Crafted over multiple prototypes and hours of pattern work, the Bombshell is perhaps the most flattering ski jacket made. Mapped with two different weights of fiber down insulation and shielded with 10K HydroBlock performance fabrics. Fashionable design and functional performance have found the perfect balance.
