Mountain Hardwear Sharkstooth Jacket review. OnTheSnow reviewed this shell jacket as part of its 2016/2017 Jacket Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Light, streamlined and perfect for a spring day/break, this insanely cool-colored jacket has an insanely cool name to match. Great protection from the elements (bravo on the non-restrictive, high collar) without any of the crunchy material factor, the Sharkstooth is minimalist and minty fresh.

Room for Improvement: The pit zips could be longer, mesh backed and easier to open/close (takes a fully taught sleeve), but we seriously doubt you’ll find yourself overheating with the Dry Q® Elite tech intact.

Fit: True-to-size but ever so snug where the jacket hits the hips, the sleeve length is dialed perfectly.

On-Snow Performance: Worn on a couple of 40+ degree spring days over just a base layer, the Sharkstooth is the perfect late-season companion. While the material is a bit on the stiff side, we're confident it will break in over time, and we're more than willing to put in the work with this rad shell to get it there!
