Favorite Features: This superb-fitting three-layer technical shell is outfitted with an impressive number of purpose-built pockets while remaining lightweight. We’re digging the adjustable powder skirt feature, something you don’t see a lot.
Room for Improvement: Center-front zip is heavy-handed and not the easiest to get up/down, likely due to its durability and watertightness, admittedly, features we’re not willing to exchange for ease of use. In other words, Patagonia has its priorities straight here.

Fit: The PowSlayer in on point, size wise, and super flattering. Felt shorter in the arms than other same-size Patagonia jackets.
On-Snow Performance: The ample vents on this climate chameleon allowed us to air it out immediately upon arrival to the slopes for the 16/17 season opener, a 50-plus degree day. It also managed to restore immediate warmth in those sweat-cooling moments when the breeze blustered our bloodies at après.
Manufacturer Description: Updated this season with a new, adjustable powder skirt, the PowSlayer Jacket is lightweight and packable protection for all of your snow sport pursuits. Built with innovative zero-bulk construction for freedom of movement and GORE-TEX® Pro fabric for the highest level of durably waterproof/breathable and windproof protection.
