Patagonia Powder Bowl Jacket review. OnTheSnow reviewed this insulated jacket as part of its 2016/2017 Jacket Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: You had us at “body-mapped insulation.” The Powder Bowl does a top-notch job keeping key areas warm, while keeping the overall weight down. Combined with two-layer Gore-Tex and a DWR finish, Patagonia's “most versatile insulated jacket” seems ready for anything your favorite resort has to offer. We loved the addition of the pant-interfacing powder skirt, removable/adjustable hood and lengthy pit zips.

Room for Improvement: The single-tone colorways don’t match the multitude of great features found in this jacket. Although the zippers add nice pops of color, we’d like to see a few more eye-catching color options.

Fit: The large size tested fit true to size and offered enough room through the trunk for additional layering. The cuff length and bottom hem offered plenty of coverage from needling snow and the tall collar should provide welcome relief on storm days.

Manufacturer Description: Designed from the inside out, the Insulated Powder Bowl Jacket has strategically placed insulation where you need it the most. Built with a tough, 2-layer GORE-TEX® fabric for durably waterproof/breathable and windproof protection; with a blend of 60-g and 100-g Thermogreen® 100% polyester (90% recycled) insulation throughout.
