2016/2017 Dynastar Glory 89 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Front Category.
Dyanstar’s Glory line is comprised of for four models (from 89 to 74-mm underfoot), designed with a lightweight construction and a natural stance tailored to the ski’s profile. Testers awarded the 89-mm-waisted Glory high totals for stability, lower for playfulness. “Though not my first choice for crud and cut-up snow, it’s glorious when tipped on edge,” says Muecke. The sandwich construction includes full sidewalls, a poplar wood core and two layers of full-length titanium. A five-point sidecut on the Glory 89 skis means a wide rockered tip, wider forebody, and a scalloped pin tail with rocker, a profile Dynastar says adds edge grip and maneuverability. OnTheSnow testers all called it “solid,” while Johnson labels it “a meaty ski that bulldozes down groomed terrain.”
