2016/2017 Fischer Curv DTX ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s Frontside Category and awarded it an Editors’ Choice honor.

“This is a super fun carver that can make either controlled GS turns or snappy slalom turns,” says former U.S. ski team member, Cole. “It feels like a race ski—with an everyday speed limit.” Indeed, testers awarded the Curv DTS highest scores in the category for carving. The ski’s lowest scores came in for playfulness, but Fischer calls the Curv series “close to World Cup skis without the FIS restrictions.” Specs include a 72-mm waist, a layer of free milled titanium and Diagotex, a carbon laminate added for stability. Construction also includes a wide, triangular tip and flat tail. “The traditional race ski feel is best suited for aggressive skiers who want to carve and push hard,” says Witman.
