Yeti Hopper 30 Cooler review. Mountain Getaway reviewed this cooler as part of its 2016 Camping Essentials Buyers' Guide.

Glamp Factor: When your camping trip calls for a cool bevy, as most good ones do, this insulated cooler is easy to carry and streamlined to pack in the car. The Hydrolok zipper keeps this cooler air tight and leakproof, and its construction, sourced from the stuff of hazmat suits and whitewater rafts, renders it quite possibly bulletproof.

Performance: This cooler doesn’t mess around, delivering on its promise of keeping ice, and whatever’s nestled among it, intact and cool for days. We didn’t even adhere to the recommended 2:1 ice to beverage ratio (more like 5:1 beer to ice… priorities) and still weren’t disappointed. This cooler is seriously insulated and sealed with what could be the world’s burliest zipper, which can therefore be a bit difficult to open, close, fill and fetch beers. But somehow we managed, our efforts rewarded with, you guessed it, a cold one. Word on the street is that this cooler breaks in over time and gets easier to load/unload.

Why You Can’t Live Without It: If you want your perishables to withstand warm nights, hot days and scorching cars, we’re not aware of a better way to do it.

Manufacturer Description: YETI’s are known for being indestructible and keeping things cold. And the Hopper 30 is no exception. It’s the first 100% leakproof portable cooler that’s built for the long haul and is insulated to keep ice for days. It’s reliable. It’s convenient. Easy to carry and designed for those on the go. It’s well-suited for a weekend at the ranch, a BYOB dinner at the Salt Lick, 18 holes on the golf course, or a day on the water. Not your ordinary soft-sided cooler. And like all YETI products, built for the wild.
