Seirus HeatWave Plus Shimmer Mitt review. OnTheSnow reviewed this ski mitten as part of its 2015/2016 Gloves/Mittens Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Our testers loved this warm mitten’s cozy interior. We also appreciate the HeatWave Plus technology story that simultaneously wicks and insulates. The update, or plus, adds palm-side fleece for a better hand feel.

Room for Improvement: One tester found the interior seams to be a bit on the bulky side.

Fit: Generally fits true to size with some extra length toward the end of the fingers and slight constriction where thumb meets mitt.

Manufacturer Description: The Seirus HeatWave Plus Shimmer Mitt utilizes Seirus' new HeatWave Plus technology: a dual-stage heating system with a uniquely engineered Thermal Reflective Layer, made with a proprietary, high wicking, polyester/nylon blend, that retains 20% more warmth inside the glove than traditional linings; in addition a kinetic process uses the wicking energy to generate a 4-5 degree increase in warmth. It's a whole new level in warmth and comfort for a non-battery-heated glove. The HeatWave Plus adds to the original HeatWave technology a layer of Neofleece insulation on the top side and a brushed, wicking HeatWave lining to the palm side, generating an unparalleled level of warmth and comfort inside the glove.
