Arc’teryx Chilkoot Pant review. OnTheSnow reviewed this pant as part of its men's 2015/2016 Pants Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Coreloft insulation and side zip ventilation allow you to dump heat on the ascents and stay warm when it’s time to click in. For an insulated pant, we found the Chilkoot to be lightweight and very breathable. The adjustable integrated belt was a practical and easy-to-use addition that many other pant manufacturers tend to fall short on.

Room for Improvement: The monochromatic color scheme felt blase for a $500 pant.

Fit: We liked the Chilkoot’s slimmer fit and athletic trim; the anatomical shaping was apparent and helped increase overall range of motion. The medium (U.S. M) tested fit true to size.

Manufacturer Description: The Chilkoot is built for those committed area skiers and riders who won’t stop just because it’s cold outside. Synthetically insulated with Coreloft™ Compact synthetic insulation is paired with the reliable waterproof protection of GORE-TEX® in a pant crafted for multiple descents. Windproof and waterproof N80p-X GORE-TEX® 2L fabric is strong, lightweight, breathable and keeps the weather out. The Coreloft™ Compact insulation has a low profile that gives the Chilkoot Pant its streamlined design and provides freedom of movement without compromising warmth.
