Arc'teryx Kakeela Pant review. OnTheSnow reviewed these ski pants as part of its women’s 2015/2016 Ski Pants Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Arc’teryx seemed to have some serious durability in mind with this style, from the sturdy snaps to the Keprotec instep patches that actually feel like they’d survive more than a couple of ski slices completely unscathed. We also love the quality mesh behind those vents.

Room for Improvement: On the pricier side for ski pants, but definitely built to withstand a least a few seasons’ use. Those who suffer sweaty leg syndrome may benefit from longer leg vents.

Fit: Size 8 feels a bit snug in the waist for someone who typically likes her pants on the roomy (read: size L) side, but the movement was excellent throughout the legs and the pocketless booty quite flattering. Should you have the opposite problem and need to cinch the waist in, the internal waist adjuster is a cool, unique feature.

Manufacturer Description: Combining Coreloft™ synthetic insulation, the reliable waterproof protection of GORE-TEX®, and a streamlined design, the Kakeela is a comfortable, high performance pant for on piste skiing and boarding. Soft and durable, N40p-X 3L GORE-TEX® fabric with tricot technology provides breathable protection from wind, snow and rain, but has a comfortable, quiet hand. The Coreloft™ Compact 80g insulation has a low profile that gives the Kakeela its streamlined design without compromising warmth.
