2015/2016 Line Soulmate 92 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Front Category.

“A laidback, solid ski that can handle any condition,” says Rodman of the Soulmate 92 (with a 92-mm waist). The new “directional freeride ski,” as Line calls it, received its highest tester scores for versatility and playfulness, with lowest marks for float. Construction includes a Thin Tip, where the soft tip’s core and sidewall are noticeably thin for swing weight reduction, plus a stiffer tail for stability. The core is made from two maple stringers flanked by aspen. “There’s no pop and the tips can sink, but what you get is stability and a big sweet spot,” says Abbe.
