2015/2016 Fischer Motive 86 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category.

More performance, less weight, says Fischer of the Motive 86 Ti. Testers agree with Fischer’s performance assessment, awarding the 86-mm-waisted ski high scores for playfulness, lower for float. “This well-balanced ski performs best at speed,” says Bills. The Austrian company’s all-mountain ski contains tip rocker, a sandwich sidewall construction, a poplar wood core and Air Tec Ti technology, which combines titanium with a milled out portion of the core as well as Air Carbon—all designed to reduce weight without loosing performance. “While not a race ski, it has solid edge grip and can go fast enough to make your eyes water,” says Gaudet.
