2015/2016 K2 iKonic 85 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category.

“This ski is fun in all conditions—it’s quick and light in bumps, trees and fresh snow,” says Witman of the K2 iKonic 85 Ti. The 85-mm-waisted all-mountain ski tied for the highest score in the versatility and playfulness categories, with lower scores for stability. Chalk the “light and quick” performance up to K2’s new Konic Technology, which combines a light composite center core with aspen and metal laminate around the ski’s edges where energy transmission is needed. K2’s Hybritech blends sidewalls underfoot with cap construction in the slow rise rockered tip and tapered rockered tails. “It can be jittery at speed, but all in all, this ski is buttery, fun and easy to turn,” says Stoeger.
