2015/2016 Dynastar Powertrack 89 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category, awarding it an Editors’ Choice.

The Powertrack 89 is “as easy to initiate turns as it gets. It’s an all-mountain, all-condition ski,” says Stoeger. Testers gave the 89-mm-waisted ski highest scores for versatility and playfulness, lowest for float. The Powertrack 89’s shape looks like a carver mated with a freeride ski thanks to five-point sidecut (and wide forebody), race-inspired full-length vertical sidewalls and a flat tail. Other details include moderate tip and tail rocker as well as a sandwich laminate construction with poplar and Titanal core. “Whether you want to open it up on the groomers or ski tight trees nimbly, this ski can do it all,” says Witman.
