2015/2016 Völkl Kendo ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s All-Mountain Front Category and awarded it an Editors’ Choice honor.

“The edges engage immediately on this smooth, go-everywhere ski,” says Stoeger of the new iteration of Völkl’s all-mountain Kendo. Changes for 2015/2016 include a waist widened to 90 mm, early taper in the tip, plus the addition of tip and tail rocker. The Kendo received its lowest score for playfulness but highest marks came in for carving thanks to a race-inspired torsion box construction, vertical sidewalls, a layer of titanium and a wood core assembled with high-density wood underfoot. “The Kendo is truly an all-mountain ski. It’s full of energy, very stable and skis well in soft snow,” says Gaudet.
