2015/2016 Atomic Century 109 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s Powder Category.

Testers awarded the Century 109 high scores across the board, with the highest for float and slightly lower marks for carving. Rodman calls it “a directional, multi-level ski that transitions easily from powder to packed pow to bumps.” The 109-mm-waisted freeski/touring hybrid, as Atomic calls it, has a light poplar wood core and Carbon Sprocket Power Boosters (SPB), which include carbon inserts in front of and behind the binding. Atomic’s Step Down Sidewall 2.0 includes sidewalls in the binding area to absorb shock and increase edge grip combined with cap construction in the heavily rockered tip and tail. “An under-the-radar look, but a strong all-around ski that packs a punch,” says Johnson.
