2015/2016 Rossignol Temptation 84 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s Frontside Category.

Rossignol found that Air Tip technology (the milled-out honeycomb tip pattern designed to reduce core and swing weight as well as add flotation to freeride skis) helps ease turn initiation in narrower skis as well as wider ones. Accordingly, testers gave the Temptation 84 high scores for carving, slightly lower for versatility and stability. “It has a speed limit, but all in all, a great solid ski that can switch easily from short to long turns, bumpy to groomers,” says Balandina. The 84-mm-waisted ski has a minicap sandwich laminate construction and combines paulownia and carbon, tip and tail rocker, and Rossignol’s Extended Sidecut, which intensifies edge grip potential as edge angles increase. “It’s a super fun frontside carver,” adds Kelly.
