2015/2016 K2 Luv Machine 74 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s Frontside Category.

The Luv Machine 74 Ti features K2’s new Channel Light Core. True to name, grooved “channels” down the length of the ski reduce weight, working in concert with the BioFlex core, which combines a sheet of titanium with dense aspen near the edges along with softer paulownia and bamboo stringers near the ski’s center. The shape includes a blunt rockered tip and flat square tail. The result? “Very easy to put on edge in various turns, short to long,” says Balandina. “Stable and damp underfoot.” The 74-mm-waisted ski received its highest scores for versatility and carving, lowest for playfulness. Pugliese notes the “calm, cruisy feel” of the Luv Machine 74 Ti, adding that it “handles moguls well and sets an edge easily.”
