2015/2016 Fischer KOA 80 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s Frontside Category.

“Nimble, but no dance party here,” says Johnson of the Fischer KOA 80. “Expect a steady, predictable ski that can go into any condition.” Fischer’s Air Tec Ti technology (inspired by extremely weight-conscious materials used in Fischer’s Nordic skis) utilizes milled out sections of the wood core for weight reduction. The KOA 80 also has a traditional sandwich sidewall construction with ABS sidewalls and a long rockered tip. Testers gave the 80-mm-waisted ski highest score for stability, lowest for carving, prompting Muecke, a Snowbird instructor, to call the ski “stable, damp and trustworthy at speed.”
