2015/2016 K2 iKonic 80 Ti ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its men’s Frontside Category.

New for 2015/16, K2 introduces Konic Technology, a cone-shaped core design that combines dense wood and metal laminate along the ski’s edges (where most pressure is exerted) with a weight-reducing center core. It also features K2’s Triaxial Braid in the fir/aspen core, along with Hybritech sidewalls plus a rounded, rockered tip and a flat tail. “This ski enjoys the bumps and crud as much as the groomers,” says Bills. The iKonic 80 Ti (with an 80-mm waist) received consistent scores across the board, highest for versatility. “It has a light swingweight, pivots effortlessly and is easy to control,” says Ertl.
