FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Your skis are (hopefully) your most expensive piece of winter gear, so it makes sense to give them the protection they earned. While we don’t always see the need for a ski carrier on short weekend ski trips, solid protection is essential for any trip involving a plane flight or even, one might argue, while rattling around in the bed of your buddy’s pickup truck. Enter the Thule RoundTrip Double Ski Roller, an impressive setup of protective padding, well-planned dividers and heavy-duty wheels. We won’t harp further on the need for a solid ski carrier, but if you care about your skis, this is the one in the 2015 lineup to get.

FAVORITE FEATURES: Rest assured that your skis will stay protected inside this bag. The tip and tail are both reinforced, the inside of the bag is lined with waterproof material, and Thule doesn’t skimp with the extra thick padding. We also love that the wheels mean business; these should easily withstand the test of time, and we expect that at this price point. Other much-appreciated details include pockets and dividers to keep outerwear from being sliced by skis. You will be limited to two pairs of skis, their respective poles and a bit of gear, but skis up to 195 cm should ride easily inside.

MANUFACTURER DESCRIPTION: With generous reinforcement along the tips and tails of the roller and internal cinch top sleeves to protect both your skis and clothes, you can feel confident that your gear will safely make it to your destination.
