FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Offered in a nice array of eight different colorways, the Edit is, as Giro touts, a fully-featured, lightweight and comfy helmet. The company’s thermostat Thermostat Control system lets in as much or as little air as your heart desires, and its Stack Vent works in tandem with your goggles to keep you fog free. A couple more useful details include the antimicrobial X-Static Fiber and trip clip carabiner.

FAVORITE FEATURES: Though the micro dial is bit on the small side, we appreciate that Giro included its Roc Loc 5 Fit System for easy helmet adjustments. It’s also pretty cool that you can adjust the helmet vertically with a tug down/push up while it’s on your head. For those capturing the ski day via video, this helmet also features a GoPro-compatible mounting system, front and center.

MANUFACTURER DESCRIPTION: The Edit is the lightest full-featured snow helmet Giro has ever made. As if that wasn’t enough, it also features a sleek and stealthy integrated GoPro® compatible camera mount that allows you to easily attach and remove your POV camera without a trace. The Edit’s ultra low profile, all-mountain design delivers solid style and proven performance plus it offers seamless compatibility with all Giro goggles, including the EXV Onset & Compass.
