FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Even in our large test size, the Aircraft 3L pants struck us as being among the trimmest of the season. Slim skiers will likely find comfort in this, as they’re tighter around the thighs and waist, while being the perfect length in the legs. Much like the jacket variation of this Oakley product, the material is noticeably noisy at first, though it’s among the best protection against wet, heavy snow.

FAVORITE FEATURES: Double air vents offer plenty of flow, as they are placed on both the interior and exterior of each leg. However, it’s worth noting that they are not mesh, but wide open to the elements. These pants also come with a RECCO avalanche rescue technology, which is an extra level of security along with proper avalanche training and equipment.

MANUFACTURER DESCRIPTION: The Aircraft 3L Gore-Tex Pants are designed to the specifications of pro riders to deliver a protective fit that locks in heat and blocks out harsh conditions on the mountain. Tough, lightweight GORE-TEX Pro fabric keeps wind, sleet and snow at bay, while zip vents at the inner and outer thighs let you control the level of cross-ventilation during your run. A boot gaiter with Lycra and boot hook provide secure connections with footwear, and reinforced cuff webbing and kick patches stand up to rugged terrain. Featuring matte waterproof zippers and fully taped seams, these pants offer dependable protection during your cold-weather adventures.
