2015 Line Soulmate 90 ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Front Category.

The freeride-friendly Soulmate 90’s core uses full-length aspen and fir as well as Line’s Composite Matrix, designed to reduce weight. Capwall construction combines a lightweight cap on top and sidewall over the edges. Both the tip and tail have early rise, though the tail is stiffer for extra stability while the tip is softer for float. “Ski ‘em short for best quickness,” advises Van Deursen. Testers gave the Soulmate 90 its highest scores for float, “It’s super easy to pop in and out of trees and bumps with soft snow,” says Pugliese. Lowest scores came in for carving: “Too loose in the tip to get a powerful edge,” says Johnson.
