2015 Atomic Affinity Storm ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Front Category.

Atomic says the Affinity Storm is best for intermediates through advanced skiers, but our expert testers gave it equally high scores for carving and stability. “It carved like a soft Atomic race ski,” says Van Deursen. “It’s very dynamic and responsive,” adds Johnson. The Affinity line includes four skis, ranging in waist widths from 84 mm down to 74 mm. The 84-mm-waisted Affinity Storm is the widest in girth of the group. It has a wood core and a V-shaped body, which is narrower in the tail for easy turn exit, as well as tip rocker and Atomic’s half-cap Step Down Sidewall. The Storm comes with bindings that include a slight heel lift to support women’s lower center of mass. “This ski is spicy in the crud,” says Curtis. “It’s quick, light, fun and easy to control.”
