2015 Elan Interra ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s Frontside Category.

Testers gave the Elan Interra high scores for carving—spot on considering Elan’s Amphibio Profile, which creates a cambered inside edge and rockered outside edge (and a left and right ski), is designed for edge grip and control. “This ski rolls over easily,” says Curtis. “The heaviness of it feels comforting, strong and balanced.” The visible waves in Waveflex technology absorb vibration along the 86-mm-waisted ski that’s built with sidewall construction, a layer of titanium and longitudinal carbon fibers in the wood core for torsional rigidity. The Interra received average scores for versatility, and according to Van Riper, “loses some reliability as the speed increases, but tracks really well throughout the turn.”
