2015 Atomic Elysian ski review. OnTheSnow tested this ski as part of its women’s All-Mountain Back Category.

The Elysian belongs to Atomic’s All-mountain Vantage W series and sports Backbone technology, or a vertebrae-shaped ski-length layer made from carbon, which has a strong strength-to-weight ratio. Testers felt that the ski’s lightness suits intermediate through expert skiers and gave it higher scores for float, lower for carving. “It’s light, quick and responsive,” says Olympian, Johnson. “It’s a good carver, but it could use more zest at higher speeds.” Other tech details include a full wood core, slight tip and tail rocker, and a twintip design with a bigger turn radius in the tip and smaller at the tail—designed for increased edge grip. “This ski is fun and stable at speed and in the bumps,” says Pugliese.
