K2 Luv Machine 74 Ti ski review, 2017/2018 women's Technical Category, from our equipment experts at Realskiers.com powered by Masterfit.

The Luv Machine 74 Ti embodies two quintessential characteristics of the K2 brand: a deep commitment to the women’s market and designs that are blessedly simple to ski. K2 has always focused on technology that makes skiing easier for more people as opposed to “get good or go home” elitism. The Luv Machine 74 Ti doesn’t require an operator’s manual; just step and go. Less is more when steering the Luv Machine 74 Ti. The ski's 12.5-m sidecut is equipped to snap off a turn tight enough to cause whiplash, so it isn’t necessary to stomp on Luv Machine 74 Ti or radically rail it on edge to a get a comfortable, secure carve. A Titanal laminate lends damping and torsional rigidity to a women's-specific Bioflex core made from fir, bamboo and Paulownia wood. In the past, the Luv Machine 74 Ti was available flat (without bindings), but in 2018 it’s only available as a system, mated with a Marker ERC 11TCx Light binding. Kayla Barrnett described this system as “Extremely stable at speed and quick to turn. Really powers through turns. Great edge hold. A super reliable carving ski for the advanced female.”
