K2 Minaret 100 LV ski boot review, 2017/2018 women's Freeride Category, from our equipment experts at Bootfitters.com powered by Masterfit.

Testers liked the slide-on slipper feel of the K2 Minaret 100 LV this year—easier entry and softer, cushier initial feel. They say the new LuxFit Tour Lite liner indeed felt lighter this year and that it gave the boot a roomier-than-expected fit for a 97-mm last. Our custom tests showed that the lower boot fit was evened up nicely after the liner (Intuition partnership with K2) was fully heat molded. "Happy toes! Very cozy. The custom liner molding is a must—awesome!" said Parazoo.

The K2 Minaret 100 LV's flex feel was cushy on the shin, which testers liked. They also appreciated the smooth, predictable transfer of power edge to edge, which they said was stable and easy to tap into. "A solid boot for solid skiers," said Post. "The fit and flex is silky smooth." Damp and reliable turn to turn seemed more the Minaret's M.O. than snappy, rapid-fire transitions, testers said. The team loved the easy-to-use Syncro Interlock cuff release mechanism, which offers more travel than most ski boots in the category and has a smooth, gliding feel. The Minaret 100 LV's tech-binding compatibility and accessory rockered, Vibram soles open up lots of off-area options.
