Head Wild Joy ski review, 2017/2018 women's All-Mountain Front Category, from our equipment experts at Realskiers.com powered by Masterfit.

There’s nothing else quite like the sensation of riding over snow on Head Joy skis. The new Wild Joy isn’t a system ski, so there’s no additional interface between the soles of your feet and the snow below. All you feel as you roll over soft snow is every ripple of deliciousness underfoot. How does the Wild Joy become so one with the snow? The Head ski is made from the lightest materials available, plus a few slivers of wood just over the edge. The center of the Wild Joy is mostly Koroyd honeycomb with fiberglass, carbon and Graphene arrayed around it to impart the necessary strength and energy to battle off-trail goop. In keeping with corporate (race skis) culture, Head's Wild Joy is shaped to carve, giving this women's ski a bias toward on-trail conditions despite a shape that suggests off-trail proficiency. No matter what terrain the ski is sent to explore, the Wild Joy uses its deep shape and low weight to show off its quick nature. “Super easy to turn,” confirmed Margit from The Sport Loft, who surmised it “would be great for a petite skier.” True dat.
