Kästle FX95 HP ski review, 2017/2018 men's All-Mountain Back Category, from our equipment experts at Realskiers.com powered by Masterfit.

Kästle’s FX95 HP uses the same components as its exquisite MX series of Frontside skis, but its baseline and sidecut are radically different, converting the FX95 HP into a ski with a pronounced preference for off-trail conditions. Both front and rear rocker are long and gradual—404mm in the front and 242mm in the back—leaving only a small pocket of camber underfoot to add life to the turn transition. The tip and tail are tapered to eliminate any chance of over steering in tricky broken snow. Because of its deluxe construction, the FX95 HP holds a secure edge on hard snow despite its generously rockered profile. Margit Caine was so impressed by the FX95 HP, she tested it twice. “Took a second to get used to entering into the turn, but I got the hang of it real quickly. It’s fun, playful and nicely holds a carve,” she penned after her first go round. After her second test drive on the Kästle skis, she was totally smitten, awarding the FX95 HP a perfect score.
