Swany Blackhawk Under Mitt review. OnTheSnow reviewed these mittens as part of its 2016/2017 Gloves/Mittens Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: Made with soft, supple leather, these mitts are as nice next to skin on the outside as they are insanely comfy on the inside thanks to an ergonomic palm construction and Dyna-Therm lining. These mittens from Swany hit on all our must-haves: great style, length and dexterity, inner-mitt connector and leash.

Room for Improvement: The wrist adjust doesn’t offer much in the way of battening down the hatches. No bother; see fit.

Fit: Perfection.

On-Snow Performance: Not your typical mitten day, we rocked the Blackhawks in 50+ degrees during the 16/17 season opener at Arapahoe Basin where they proved to be every bit as comfortable and handy for buckling/unbuckling as we predicted they would be. We’re only missing a pull loop for ease of entry and for the first time, were wishing that someone would invent a way to vent handwear without compromising structural integrity. In other words, these mitts should keep your digits toasty, without question.
