The North Face NFZ Insulated Pant review. OnTheSnow reviewed these insulated pants as part of its 2016/2017 Pants Buyers' Guide.

Favorite Features: A ski pant you won’t be itching to peel off come ski day’s end thanks to its divine comfiness and supreme softness. Some cool tech stories going on here as well, such as the cargo pocket with Loft Lift System that hitches up the length to keep cuffs clean and the Chimney Venting™ system that promotes airflow from the cuff upward.

Room for Improvement: Wouldn’t change a thing.

Fit: Runs true, super fetching, and we appreciate the relaxed ergo fit built to layer and move.

On-Snow Performance: Super warm and water resistant on a dumping and windy powder day, nothing was getting through these pants. We love the subtly textured fabric and excellent mobility. On the long side, they're a cinch to hitch up and lock into place and also provide good coverage for all the bending, straightening, sitting and standing of a typical ski day. The burgundy dye did transfer a bit onto our white gloves, so do we recommend a quick rinse with some Nikwax if this is a concern.

Manufacturer Description: Protect your lower half in harsh conditions at high altitudes with insulated, weatherproof Gore-Tex® 2L pants that are designed to deliver ultra-durable coverage, whether you're skinning uphill from base camp or maneuvering down narrow chutes.
