  • Connecticut Springs Into More Riding

Riders in Connecticut are bound and determined to soak in every moment of riding in a season that came late and gifted us with decent snow in March. Hanging on to every drop it can is Mohawk Mountain, still hitting on over 20 trails and an empty events calendar to free up riders just to drink in the mountain.

  • Riders Rise to the Occasion in Conn.

The riding is as good as it gets in a Connecticut March, and that's both good and bad. The good: it's good. The bad: March, and mid-March, means we're winding down. Still, there's good ridin' ahead.

  • Connecticut On the March With Snow

What's that we hear? Why, it's the roar of the March lion, telling us the snow came late but it's carrying us well toward spring. And the mountains are celebrating. Mohawk Mountain kicks things off on Friday, with a womens ski clinic, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m. The $62.50 tab includes an all-day lift ticket and lunch.

  • Connecticut Says 'Come Take a Break'

A long holiday weekend in February for some stretches into a long holiday week. What the heck. There's an excuse this year. The snow came late and we're more than ready to roll.

  • Connecticut Connects With Good Ridin'

Skiers and boarders are happily connecting with the terrain in Connecticut with the cold temparatures chillin' for a bit. That's securing February as the best month so far of the 2006/07 season. Definitely not chillin' are those magical snowmakers on the hills of our favorite resorts, as they keep the snow-making machinery doing what it was made to do.

  • Connecticut Chills With Winter

We knew winter would come, and it did, slow and all, but it's here. Reports are that the riding over the weekend was aces, and it's only going to get better. The cold is supposed to stick around, snowmakers are going 24/7 and February is crammed with stuff to do.

  • Winter Wanders Into Connecticut

Riders in Connecticut finally are getting a taste of the real thing as winter saunters in, a month late, but certainly welcome. Mohawk Mountain greeted it with continuous blasts of snowmaking - and more trail openings.

  • Connecticut Snowmakers Gunning It

Connecticut mountains and Connecticut riders are hoping a winter blast hunkers down long enough for continuous days of snowmaking and the end of a so-far heartbreaking season.
