after 25 years still my favorite Tahoe resort
Can't get resort operator to answer!

Full review

As much as I enjoy this resort I find it disconcerting that I can not get anyone to answer one simple question. Resort operator option does not work. Wanted to know about lift status on days I'll be in So. Lake. It is not worth the drive or the price of a lift ticket if lifts on the back side are not operating. I have flexibility as to which days I can make the drive but would like to be able to call the mornings of, to find out the current lift status.

Kirkwood - 38 degrees at 7:30 A.M. this morning. the snow is wet and heavy and the skiing was good for the first hour at the top. as temps have warmed rain off and on at the base and heavy wet broken snow persists. Grooming was late and not very pressi - © Tempting Fate
Kirkwood - Great but of powder on the top of the mountain. Lots of bowls and fun off piste snowboarding. The low snow level added a level of difficulty and fun to the runs. - © anonymous
