Zawoja is the biggest village in Poland. It has 100 square kilometers. It lies at the foot of Babia Góra (1725 m.a.s.l.), in the northern part of Lesser Poland Province. Zawoja is a quite famous touristic village, visited in the Summer, as well as in the Winter.
Skiers and snowboarders will find in Zawoja a lot of attractions. The most famous are Mosorny Groń and Czatoża. Mosorny Groń has a chair lift, and its routes have FIS approval, which gives an opportunity of organizing ski competitions. Czatoża offers a lot of T-bar lifts and diverse ski routes. There was also a snowpark built. Ski routes are snow groomed and snowed, if necessary.
Accommodation base of Zawoja is developed. There are 2500 places in rather low prices waiting for the tourists. Numerous inns and restaurants make good gastronomic base.
You can get to Zawoja from Sucha Beskidzka, with the route nr 28 or from Myślenice and Lubień, with route nr 7. Buses run from big cities of Lesser Poland and Silesia directly to Zawoja. In case of train trips or from remote places of Poland change will be necessary.
